Unicorn Drawing Easy
My little girl has always begged me to draw unicorns for her since she was little! She just adores them. Initially I was a little worried that I might not be able to draw a simple unicorn which was too her pleasing but when I got started I realised it was much easier than I thought.
The good news about this easy drawing tutorial is that you only need a few supplies, which are listed below.
- Sketch book.
- Pencils (HB,2B).
- Eraser.
- Ruler.
- Color pencils or crayons.
How to Draw an Easy Unicorn
This is broken down into 17 short steps, which are accompanied by images to help kids and adults alike draw a unicorn easy.
Steps 1-2-3-4-5:6
Draw an oval shape according to the size of your unicorn’s head
Then on the top part of the oval shaped head draw three teardrop shapes.
Draw two triangular shaped ears on two sides of the forelocks.
Draw a long triangular shaped horn on the top part of the oval shaped head.
Draw two diagonal lines inside the horn
Draw another layer of ears inside the triangle shaped ears for extra detail.
Steps 7:8:9:10:11
Draw two circular nostrils inside the bottom part of the oval shape.
Draw to “U” shaped eyelids and lashes on the unicorn’s head.
On the right side of the unicorn’s head draw a slightly larger oval shape for the unicorn’s body.
Draw two round edged rectangles on the bottom for the unicorn’s legs.
Draw two more legs on the back. Your unicorn drawing should look as below.
Steps 12:13:
Draw the unicorn’s tail on the right end of the large oval shape.
Draw two layers inside the tail to add details.
Steps 14-15-16-17:
Use a yellow color to fill in the unicorn’s horn.
Use peach or pink shade to fill in the middle layer of the hair, tail, hooves, ears and cheeks.
Use blue color to on rest of the hair and tail.
Use a black pen to overline the outline to add extra detail.
Obviously you can add whatever colors you wish but I feel these work well together.
