Rocket Handprint Art
Use your hands to make this rocket take off! If you look closely at the completed handprint art you can see that the hands actually represent the rocket’s flames!
I have made this using my free printable template below but feel free to use your own kids handprints to complete this activity!
The good news is that you can make this rocket in 8 steps. Feel free to use whatever color of construction craft papers you wish.
How to Make a Handprint Rocket
To complete this rocket handprint art you will need this list of supplies
- Colored craft papers
- Pencil – to trace the template
- A pair of scissors
- Craft glue
- Sharpies
Step by Step Rocket Handprint Craft Directions
Step 1:
Select different fun and bright colored craft papers for the handprint rocket craft. Trace the rocket patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out nicely. You can use the handprint patterns from the provided template or you can trace your own hands.
Step 2:
Attach the top pattern on the top side of the rocket base handprint (closed handprint layout).
Step 3:
Attach the round cut-outs on the rocket base.
Step 4:
Attach the strip cut-out near the bottom part of the rocket base.
Step 5:
Attach the small hand layout on the big hand layout.
Step 6:
Attach the triangle cut-outs on both sides of the rocket base.
Step 7:
Attach the hand patterns on the bottom side of the rocket pattern.
Step 8:
Use a sharpie to trace outlines along the rocket base or other parts as you like.
