King Coronation Crown Craft

On May 6th 2023, King Charles will be coronated. As a result of this little kids in the UK and indeed worldwide will be looking for some great Coronation crafts and activities to help them celebrate this special day.

In my opinion one of the best coronation crafts is a Royal crown. My Coronation Royal crown craft lets little kids pretend to be King for one day (and in the future they can use it for dress up games too).

I knew this would be such a popular idea for children and I also knew I needed to find out as many details about the Coronation crown as possible. So what does King Charles crown look like? It is also known as St Edward’s Crown and features lots of jewels.

According to the Royal Collection Trust St Edward’s crown for King coronation features a solid gold frame, set with tourmalines, white and yellow topazes, rubies, amethysts, sapphires, garnet, peridot, zircons, spinel, and aquamarines, step-cut and rose-cut and mounted in enamelled gold collets, and with a velvet cap with an ermine band.

I have tried to reflect the presence of these precious stones and jewels in my easy coronation crown craft below.

Luckily I was able to make this King Charles coronation craft rather quickly whenever I made my templates (these are free to print below).
