Bees play a very important part of our ecosystem, pollinating flowers! It is the main reason we get to enjoy lots of fruits and vegetables!
Use this summer craft for kids as a way to educate them about the role of bees in our world! Many kids think all they do is sting and do not realise they are necessary!
Did you know there are hundreds of different bee species and one of the most well known is the Honey Bee!
These easy and fun kids crafts use mainly materials you are likely to have at home including paper rolls and paper.

These bee crafts for kids are brilliant summer crafts for children when they want some quiet time indoors. This toilet paper roll bee is super cute and easy for kids to make from some paper, paper roll, googly eyes and pipe cleaners You could easily change the colors of this and decorate the wings and turn it into a butterfly. Which is your favorite bee craft for kids from my collection? Do you have any more suggestions that I can add?
You can use these for pretend play or just for fun!
Bee Craft Preschool
Some of my friends have specifically asked me for bee crafts for 3 year olds as they want to teach them all about this popular insect at an early age.
One of my favorite preschool bee craft ideas involves painting, because that’s what all little children of this age want to do! They love getting their hands messy!! Let little ones use their fingerprints dipped in yellow and black paint to make this buzzing insect!
Another great suggestion is to provide them with either a paper or cardboard beehive shape for decorating with yellow and black paper. This is a good exercise for fine motor skills as it encourages kids to apply glue to paper before sticking it onto the shape.
Whenever you finish these I have lots more animal crafts to keep you busy:-
