If you love a bunch of pretty roses minus the price tag you need to teach your kids how to make a paper rose craft. This easy rose craft tutorial will help you!
Simple Rose Paper Craft
With January in full swing there is no better time to do some easy flower crafts to help brighten up these dark cold Winter days.
Valentine’s Day is not too far away so these real looking paper roses are perfect, plus they do not require many craft materials for those on a budget.
Easy paper crafts are always a winner in my house! While these Roses are associated with February 14th there is no reason why you cannot make them for Mom for Mother’s Day or her Birthday.
This is one of my favorite Valentine’s Day crafts for kids! Why not put them inside them one of my cute Valentine mailboxes or inside a card for someone as an extra gift!
My step by step tutorial will show you how to make a easy paper rose craft
Easy Rose Craft with Paper
If you love a bunch of pretty roses minus the price tag you need to get your kids to make this easy Rose craft with paper
Materials
- 1. Colored craft papers
- 2. Craft glue
- 3. Pencil
- 4. Scissors
Instructions
Step 1:
Select a colored craft paper for the paper rose craft. I decided to opt for bright red, although you can easily make other colors of Roses also.
Download, print and cut out the spiral pattern from the provided template. Trace the spiral pattern on the selected colored craft paper. Cut out the traced pattern as carefully as you can.
Step 2:
Start to coil the spiral pattern from its outer edge. Coil the pattern tightly and continue to coil towards the center of the pattern.
Step 3:
Be careful not to coil the spiral loosely. Keep coiling until it reaches the
center of the pattern.
Step 4:
Once the coiling reaches the center of the spiral pattern allow the coiled pattern to loosen up a little freely. Apply glue to the center part of the spiral pattern and place the coiled part on the glued area.
Step 5:
Gently press the coiled part on the glued area to make that it is glued nicely and so that the coil is secured. Allow the glue to dry completely and then you can use the paper rose for many other crafts.
Rose Craft Ideas and Activities for Kids

You could stick these onto a card and make it into a Valentine or Mother’s Day card for Mom!
How about using them to make a picture or sticking them onto a napkin ring holder to make it pretty!
In future I might do a tutorial on how to origami Roses as lots of people seem to be interested in origami flowers.
Why do you not try and draw a realistic rose to accompany your paper rose!
My cute rose coloring pages are great for preschool or toddler kids who do not have the manual dexterity required to make crafts.
