Calling all Star Wars fans, I have an awesome R2D2 Craft with toilet paper roll! This lovable droid is a must craft activity for fans!
I love Star Wars crafts for boys and girls, whether it be Baby Yoda, Yoda, Chewbacca, Princess Leia or my favorite droid, R2D2.
I have already made a Star Wars Toilet Paper Craft with Baby Yoda so I thought it be fun to make one featuring R2D2.
Perhaps you might want to do this craft for May 4th or even at a themed Birthday party.
Like all my crafts, it has only a few simple steps and has images to guide you. There is a free template at the bottom of the post to help you complete this activity.
Calling all Star Wars fans, I have an awesome R2D2 Craft with toilet paper roll! This lovable droid is a must craft activity for fans! Step 1: Select white, grey, red and blue colored craft papers. You can pick whatever shades you like. Trace the patterns on the selected craft papers as noted on the template. Kids around the age of 7 should be able to do this Cut out the traced patterns using scissors. School age kids can do this to practice cutting and test out their fine motor skills. Measure and cut out a white paper big enough to cover the paper roll. You should have a collection of colored paper shapes like the image below. Take your time as there is lots to cut out. Step 2: Stick the grey strip cutout along either side of the white paper prepared to cover the roll. Stick the small square and rectangle cutouts along the bottom side of the half round shape cutout (head). Stick blue strips on the stands (leg cutouts). I have attached an image below to help you with the R2D2 Craft procedure. Stick the 2 blue strips and square cutouts in the middle of the large white paper. Stick the small grey round cutout in the middle of the blue squares. Use a blue sharpie or any blue marker to trace outline of the squares, strips and round shapes. Stick the red round cutout in the middle of the middle square attached along the bottom end of the head pattern. Draw a black filled circle in the middle of the blue trapezium shape of the head. Stick the grey square cutout on the right top end of the head (facing outside). Grab the empty TP roll and trace the middle stand pattern on the bottom side of it. Keep the sides intact so that the paper roll R2D2 can stand straight. Stick the middle stand on the cutout part of the TP roll. Cover the Toilet Paper roll with the white paper, making sure to keep the blue parts right above the middle stand. Attach the side stands on both sides of the roll and the head pattern on the top side of the roll. You now have a completed R2D2 Craft with toilet paper roll. If you followed these instructions carefully it should look like the image below. R2D2 Craft with Toilet Paper Roll
