Fairy tales are wonderful and so much fun, here we’ve made some princess fairy tale crafts for kids to help you bring the magic of your favorite fairy tales to the crafting table.

A little make believe and story telling is essential to the learning process. It is so much fun to create stories and act them out in puppet shows or plays. We’ve decided to show you how you can turn spoons into puppets. Previously I enjoyed making a Paper Bag Princess and some Popsicle Stick puppets featuring a Princess! |
Spoon Princess – Fairy Tale Crafts for Kids
Start by writing up your very own fairy tale, or you can re-create a classic one like Cinderella. Be creative and once you have your story ready you can make a spoon puppet for each of your characters.
Most fairy tales have a princess so we chose to create a princess, but you can use your imagination and make every character that you need!

Step #1:
Choose your string color, this will be your princess’ hair. We chose a yellow color to make a blonde princess.
Wrap the sting around your four fingers about 20 times. If you want shorter hair wrap it around two or three fingers. My tutorial how to make doll hair with yarn can help you make a great wig!
Step #2:
Take the end of the string and wrap it around the circle a few times and tie it in place.
Cut the string at the opposite end of where you tied it.

Step #3:
Cut out a triangle from craft foam, make sure it is proportionate to the spoon.
Glue a matching pom pom on the top of it.
Step #4:
Glue your string bundle (your hair) to the inside of the spoon.

Step #5:
Wrap some of the strands of string to the underside of the spoon and glue them in place.
Step #6
Glue your hat on top of the hair, at the end of the spoon.

Step #7
Glue on some googly eyes. Add in a nose and mouth with a marker.

Now you have the star of your puppet show, and a very important character for any fairy tale! Your beautiful princess!
