Popsicle stick puzzle crafts for kids can not only be fun, but also a learning game too. We will start out with a fun sunshine puzzle and give you a ton of other great ideas too.
Puzzles are a fun way to help the kids learn to plan and problem solve. We’ve thought up a way to create puzzles out of popsicle sticks.

Popsicle Stick Puzzle Sun Craft
Craft Supplies:
- Popsicle sticks
- Paint
- Paint brush
- Tape
Age Range:
- 4 years old and up
Time to Complete:
- 30 minutes (and a bit of drying time)
Step #1:
Lay about 10 popsicle sticks in a row, side by side. Place a strip of tape along both ends to hold the sticks in place. Place the tape on the reverse side so you don’t cover any of the area you will be decorating.
If you want a longer scene on your sticks you can add more than 10 – it all depends on what you want to draw on them.
Step #2:
Decorate your popsicle sticks with a design. We chose something summery – our sunshine. You can use paint or markers to draw this on (paint is a bit easier , just a little messier).
Step #3:
Be sure to make your design somewhat detailed, but not too details making it hard to piece together. We added some shades and a smile.
Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on.

Step #4:
Remove the strips of tape and shuffle up your popsicle sticks. The puzzle is ready to be put back together.
Mix up the popsicle stick pieces and let the kids put them back together!
