Age Group:
This craft is great for ages 4 and up. With the younger ones keep in mind to get the kid safe scissors. Preschool Halloween crafts for children go down well in our house.
Time to Complete:
Our Halloween Frankenstein craft will take around 30 minutes to complete.
Step #1:
Cut out a strip of black construction paper, that is about the width of half your paper roll. Wrap it around one half of the roll, gluing in place.
We decides to leave a curl at the top of the opening and add some buttons with a black marker, give our monster some style.
Step #2:
Paint the other half of your paper roll with the green paint.
If you find it easier you can paint the green half before gluing on his coat, to make sure you don’t get paint on his jacket.
Step #3:
While your monsters’ head is drying cut out another strip of black construction paper. This time make it about a third of the width of his jacket – it is going to be used for his arms.
Cut two hands out of green construction paper.
Glue a hand to each end of your black strip.
Step #4:
Once the green paint has dried, glue on your googly eyes and draw on a little mouth with the black marker.
Step #5:
Wrap your arms around the back of your monsters jacket. Glue them in place.
Step #6
Using some black paint, or a black marker, whichever you find easier. Draw on some hair along the top of the paper roll. Allow this to dry.
Step #7
Now, to get our Halloween Frankenstein craft to come to life we need somewhere to attach our wires to give him his shock.
Cut out two little bolts from black construction paper. Fold a small part of the end, and glue them to your monsters head – one on each side.
