Beach Scene Craft for Kids

Kids love making pretty pictures and this Beach scene craft complete with crab, palm trees and shells is the perfect Summer craft for littles this year.

Ask your kids what sort of things they might expect to see on a sandy beach and I can guarantee they will say seashells!

This time I decided to make a pretty beach themed picture using some colored craft papers and of course I wanted to feature a crab as well as shells.

Beach Scene Craft for Kids

Kids love making pretty pictures and this Beach scene craft complete with crab, palm trees and shells is the perfect Summer craft for littles this year

Materials

• Cardstock paper.
• Craft papers.
• Pencil.
• Ruler.
• Scissors.
• Glue.
• Marker pens.
• Googly Eyes.

Instructions

Step 1:

First, cut out the pieces to make the crab using cardstock or craft paper.

Step 2:

Then, glue the bottom shell to the crab’s body. Glue the crab’s claws on two sides of the crab’s body.

Step 3:

Use a marker pen to draw outlines on the crab.

Step 4:

Glue two googly eyes on the top of the crab’s head.

Step 5:

Then, glue the crab’s mouth.

Step 6:

Use marker pens to draw the smile and some freckles on the crab.

Step 7:

Cut out the pieces for background decorations using the two PDF templates. Cut out the sand on yellow/orange craft paper and the sky in a light blue craft paper. You can choose whichever color you wish for the shells. I did the sun and palm trees as shown below.

Step 8:

Glue the tops of the palm trees to the trunks.

Step 9:

Glue the sand and sea background onto a piece of paper

Step 10:

Stick the palm trees and sunshine onto your beach scene

Step 11:

Finish this Summer paper craft by sticking the crab and shells onto the sand.

This craft reminds me of a pretty postcard, so why not use it as such. You could write a message on the back and remember to add someone’s address and a stamp.
