Butterfly Flower Garland Craft with Paper

Who likes to decorate their home for Spring and Summer with pretty banners and garlands? If so this cute butterfly flower garland craft with paper is perfect!

Spring has definitely sprung and caterpillars are transforming into butterflies as we speak! Gardens are becoming adorned with brightly colored flowers.

As a result lots of little kids are crazy about doing Spring crafts featuring both butterflies and flowers to celebrate this season.

Easy papers crafts are hugely popular with all my budding crafters whether they are 2 years old or 22 years old! 

I decided to make this simple garland featuring colorful butterflies and flowers with my children. We will be putting ours up in the kitchen. 

These could also be used for a Birthday party or indeed a garden party in the Summer months. Butterfly crafts are very popular with kids in the Summertime. 

They are very easy to make using my free step by step tutorial with images shown below.

Butterfly Flower Garland Craft with Paper

This beautiful butterfly flower garland is an easy Spring paper craft for kids of all ages!

Materials

• Cardstock paper.
• Craft papers.
• Pencil.
• Ruler.
• Scissors.
• Glue.
• String or Thread.

Instructions

Step 1:

Download the PDF template. Cut out the butterflies pieces using the templates and craft papers. 

Step 2:

Glue the wings of the butterflies together. 

Step 3:

Then glue the butterflies body and antenna to the wings.  

Step 4:

Draw the face using marker pens. Little kids can make happy or sad butterflies!

Step 5:

Then, cut out the pieces for the flowers from the PDF templates with craft papers.

Step 6:

Glue the smaller petals inside the larger petals.

Step 7:

Then glue the pedicels of the flowers in the centre. Your flowers should now look like this.

Step 8:

Take some long threads of string. Can be white or colored, just whatever is handiest.

Step 9:

Cut out a piece of craft paper and apply glue to it. 

Step 10:

Attach the piece of paper to the string. You can see this below.

Step 11:

Then glue the flowers and butterflies onto the string. 

You can make as many of these Spring garlands as you wish. Why not make some with different colored butterflies and flowers. You could also make some with only butterflies or only flowers. Just print out as many copies of my free template as you need.
