Time to get organized with recycled crafting supplies and some Elmer Glue

What You Will Need

The supplies are simple. Paper rolls, construction paper, cardboard, scissors and glue.
Note: I did have a package of Elmer glue mailed to me to test out with my crafty adventures. I agreed I would use them in a craft too. But rest assured I have always LOVE Elmer glue and knew the awesomeness that is their products so it is my pleasure to suggest their glue for your crafty needs too!

Elmer Easy Pencil Holder Craft for Back to School

Let’s have some fun with the Elmer glue stick and use it as a pencil holder.

For this back to school craft, add in a cute pencil and eraser – what an adorable desk organizer. Keep all your pencils, pens and erasers neatly organized.

Help with a successful school year!

Step #1:

Cut paper rolls into three separate lengths. One short, one medium and one long. These will be your three pencil holders. On one end of each cut four slits around the paper roll. Fold these inwards and add a few dabs of glue to hold them together.

Also cut a square of cardboard for your base.

Step #2:

Wrap a piece of construction paper around the cardboard base – I chose a nice plain white one.

Step #3:

Decorate your three pencil holder tubes. You will create the below squares to cover each tube. Once they are ready you just have to wrap them around the paper roll.

Elmer Glue Stick:

  • A white square, glue on a blue stripe at the bottom and an orange stripe at the top.
  • Add in a fun little label that says “glue”.

Pencil

  • A yellow construction paper square, add a pink stripe on one end.
  • Grab a marker (I decided on a gold one) and draw lines all the way across the square – from the pink stripe down.

Eraser

  • A small pink square of construction paper – yep! That easy.

Step #4:

Once they are all dry – which is incredibly fast with this Elmer glue – you will want to glue these three to the cardboard base.
