Say Happy St Patrick’s Day with my easy Shamrock pop up card craft which is simple for kids to make. They can make lots of these and send them to their friends.
Shamrocks or four leaf clovers as they are also known are very popular around St Patrick’s Day! They are said to bring good luck.
At the start of March my kids and I always try to start some St Patrick’s Day crafts and we either choose between leprechaun crafts or something with shamrocks.
Previously we made a shamrock clock craft which is proving to be very handy now that my daughter is starting to learn the time.
I am also planning on making some pictures featuring shamrocks which we can use for decor.
My latest idea is a 3D Shamrock card. I love pop up cards at any time of the year and have made others before for St Patrick’s Day. My easy leprechaun card is very popular with children.
You can make my simple shamrock pop up card using my easy to follow craft procedure below complete with images.
Say Happy St Patrick's Day with my easy Shamrock pop up card craft which is simple for kids to make. They can make lots of these and send them to their friends. First, you need to select a green-shaded craft paper that is long and wide enough to cut out at least three shamrocks. Then, make one vertical fold on any end of the paper, the fold has to be wide enough to draw half of the shamrock from the template. Then, fold the paper into 6 equal accordion folds. You can see this visually below. Place the shamrock template over the paper as shown Draw the shamrock shape. Cut along the line, but only leave the red area from the template uncut.(Example Template.pdf) Open the fold to reveal your shamrocks. Select your background paper for the card. Apply glue on the first half of the shamrock. Glue it onto one side of the card. And, then apply glue on the last half of the shamrock. Carefully close the card. Open up the card and your shamrocks should 'pop up' Now, select a front cover for your card. You can choose any color you wish. Glue the cover. Open the card, add some more decorations. The choice is up to personal taste or perhaps whatever you can find in your craft drawer.Easy Shamrock Pop Up Card
