Fathers Day Necktie Crafts for Kids
Everyone gets a birthday, but mom and dad are too special to just get one celebration of their own a year… so they get Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. This is the day to REALLY show dad you love him!
This cute little treat holder is a fun little extra to give dad with his card and gift.
The supplies are simple and you can find them at home – besides the stuffing.
Fill this treat holder with your dad’s favourite candy or chocolate. You are probably better off with something wrapped so it doesn’t get all over the treat holder.
Personally this is one of my favorite toilet paper roll crafts for Father’s Day. It looks like Dad is dressed up in a shirt and red tie for a special occasion.

How to Make a Necktie for Dad Step by Step
Step #1:
First we will make the pants on our treat holder. Here you will paint a little less than half the paper roll with blue paint.
Step #2:
Once the blue paint is some what dry, or if you don’t mind a bit of paint on your hands, paint the rest of the paper roll with white paint. This area is the shirt on our little fathers day kids crafts treat holder.
Set the roll aside to dry.
Step #3:
Grab your construction paper – we decided on a nice red tie. Cut out a tie shape. If you are not great with freehand cutting, simply draw with a pencil then cut it out.
Step #4:
Once the paper roll has dried, bend one end together as illustrated below. It doesn’t matter if you start at the top or bottom.
Step #5:
Now grab your treats and fill the inside of the paper roll. You will fill it to about where the pants start on the treat holder. Once its full, bend the other end closed. There is no need for glue or tape, it should hold itself closed.
Step #6
The final touch is to add your tie. Simply glue it in place just below the top fold (on the white section of the paper roll).
Now our treat holder is all dressed up and ready to impress dad with it’s style!
Does dad like more than one kind of treat? Or does dad have a major sweet tooth? Why not make a few of these with different color shirts, pants or ties.
You can these to your Grandfather too on Father’s day to show you appreciate him as well.
