How to Make a Flying Witch Craft for Kids

Who loves fun interactive crafts for kids?! My Halloween tutorial on how to make a flying witch craft with cup is one of my favorites!

When I think of Halloween I firstly think of Jack O Lanterns and then witches! My kids love everything about witches, from story telling to dressing up and making their own!

We have made lots of different easy Halloween witch crafts in the past few years and will be hopefully adding more to the collection. 

We have previously made a Paper Cone Witch, which was really easy and also suitable for Preschool kids. Right now we are also making a witch with rolling eyes using a paper plate.

At this time of the year I am always coming up with new Halloween craft ideas for my kids using basic craft supplies I have at home.

Witches do not have to be scary, I always tell my kids there are lots of good witches out there like my pop up witch below! It looks as if she is flying out of the cup!

She appears from a little plastic cup to bid you all Happy Halloween, but do not worry she does not fly away; instead she returns to inside the cup.

Flying Witch Craft for Kids

This flying witch craft with cup is perfect Halloween craft for kids this year.

Materials

• Colorful Craft and Card Papers.
• Googly eyes.
• Plastic cup.
• Drinking straws.
• Pencil.
• Ruler.
• Scissors.
• Paper glue.
• Awl.

Instructions

Step 1:

Print out the PDF templates and use the template to cut out the pieces for the witch. 

Step 2: 

First, glue the top to the upper part of the witch's body. 

Glue the boots to the stockings. 

Step 3:

Glue the dress over the top. 

Step 4:

Take the short front hair and glue it to the front side of the head. 

Step 5:

Now, glue the two pigtails. 

Draw black stripes on the purple stockings.

Step 6:

Glue the boots and stockings to the legs. 

Step 7:

Glue the hat on top of the head. 

Step 8:

Glue two googly eyes and then use marker pens to draw the witch's face. 

Step 9:

Cut out the pieces for the broom from the templates. 

Step 10:

Glue the broom's brush and handle together. 

Step 11:

Take a plastic cup. 

Step 12:

Use an awl two make three holes on the cup. 

One hole on the bottom middle part of the cup and two holes on both sides. 

Step 13:

Take three drinking straws and join the top part together using tape. 

Step 14:

Bend the two side straws. 

Step 15:

Decorate your cup. 

Step 16:

Put the straws through the holes in the cup. 

Step 17:

Then glue the witch to the top of the straws. 

This would be a great craft to make at school before the Halloween holidays or even during a Halloween party! 

Why not experiment and make different things to pop out of the cup. You could make bats, zombies, monsters, ghosts and lots more.
