Here are some more free Christmas crafts for kids, these ones are geared towards the older children.

Seeming older children may get bored of our other easy crafts for kids.

We thought we would show some instructions for some more advanced crafts, to give a little bit of a challenge.

These are a little more detailed crafts for that older age group of kids.

Or they require some tools that could be dangerous when operated by a young child, like a hot glue gun.

Of course, our crafts are never limited to an age group. With some supervision these can be created by any age!

Pinecone Christmas Tree

Create mini Christmas trees out of pinecones. You can bring Christmas with your everywhere.

Supplies:

  • Pinecone
  • Green and White paint
  • Paint brush
  • Glitter glue or paint
  • Regular glue
  • Pipecleaners

Baby Food Jar Snowglobe

These free Christmas crafts for kids are alot of fun to make, and snow globes are always a lot of fun regardless! These can be made with many age groups, but do involve a little extra supervision for a younger group.

I made these originally in the 6th grade, with adult supervision. These are great little keepsakes to decorate with over the years. I think my mom still has mine!

They can be made in all sizes. You can use mason jars, pickle jars, or any jar for that matter.

What You Will Need:

  • Baby food jar
  • A plastic Christmas figurine
  • Sparkles
  • Ribbon
  • Baby oil or Mineral oil
  • Hot Glue Gun

Step #1:

Hot glue gun your figurine onto the inside of the baby jar lid. Set this aside and allow to dry thoroughly before sealing into jar. This will take approximately 15 minutes.

Step #2:

Once the figurine is dry, fill the baby jar with baby oil, or mineral oil.

Step #3:

Add your sparkles or fake snow to the oil.

Step #4:

Place a small bead of hot glue around the inside of you lid. Place the lid on the jar and tighten securely.

Step #5:

Glue a decorative ribbon around the edge of your jar.

Jazz It Up!!

Use glass paint and paint something decorative on the outside of the baby jar, like snowflakes or ground scenery to go with your figurine.

 

Baby Food Jar Candle Holder

A baby food jar and some glass paint can turn into brilliant christmas candle holders. With these free christmas crafts for kids make a whole array of these and light the rooms for the holiday season with all kinds of christmas candles.

What You Will Need:

  • Baby Food Jar
  • Glass Paint
  • Candle

Step #1:

Clean out your jar well, inside and out. Dry completely.

Step #2:

On the outside of your baby food jar, paint whatever christmas design you wish. You can make things like: Santa, Rudolph, A scenic tree line, Christmas ornaments, candy canes, etc.

Step #3:

Once your paint is dry, place your candle inside.

Jazz It Up!!

Make candle holders out of different size jars. Use mason jars with larger candles.



You can use these free christmas crafts for kids with your older children, or have the older kids help the little ones with these!! It can be a fun group activity to have your older children helping the little ones. We will always be adding more, so check back all the time!
