One of my most fun St Patricks Day activities for kids is my easy shamrock drawing! My step to step drawing tutorial can help everyone learn how to draw a shamrock quickly.
Easy Shamrock Drawing for Kids
The shamrock or young clover as we also call represents Ireland and is widely used for St Patrick’s day gifts, merchandise and decorations!
Did you know that the three leaves of a shamrock represent faith, love and hope. Four leaf clovers are very rare and therefore said to be lucky!
I thought it would be a good idea to teach my kids how to draw a shamrock easily so that they can draw one on the front of handmade St Patrick’s day cards to send their friends greeting on this special holiday!
If you want a more challenging St Patrick’s Day drawing tutorial you might like to try my leprechaun drawing.
If drawing is not your thing you might want to try some easy shamrock crafts instead. My shamrock origami is very easy and can be a nice gift idea for some friends on March 17th! Why not place it inside a card!
Younger kids might enjoy my fun leprechaun coloring pages or my St Patricks Day crafts for toddlers
Those who want to catch their own leprechaun will want to try and make one of my cool leprechaun traps
Sorry I have so many great ideas for Saint Patricks day activities that I wanted to share them with you before starting my clover drawing! Now go and collect your drawing paper and stationary and get ready to learn how to draw a shamrock easy.

Similarly draw two more circular shapes on two sides of the “x” shape.

Draw a vertical line on the centre of the top leaf. And similarly draw horizontal lines on the leaves on two sides.
Step 9:
On the outer side of the leaves draw two curved lines.

Step 11:
Now take a darker pencil or a thin black gel pen and draw over the outlines.

Also use the pen to draw over the veins.
Step 13:
Erase the rounded edges.
Step 14:
Take a light green color pencil and fill in the top leaf.
Step 15:
Similarly, use the color to fill in the rest of the leaves.
Step 16:
For final touches, take a slightly darker green pencil to color the sides of the leaf and use your finger or tissue paper to smudge and blend the color with the lighter shade.
