Peter Rabbit and Friends Puppets

If you talk to any child between the ages of 3 and 7 chances are they love Peter Rabbit and his buddies as well as his enemies! Yep Lily Bobtail and Benjamin Bunny are Peter’s sidekicks and can normally be found alongside Peter especially when he is planning a radish raid in Mr McGregor’s farm!

Of course Mr Tod is always trying to catch Peter and his friends but they always seem to outwit him!

My kids absolutely adore the 2 Peter Rabbit movies as well as the TV episodes so I knew my Peter Rabbit puppets would go down a massive treat with them. Previously I have already made a Peter Rabbit craft with them and they love it.

These are so easy to make using my free printable templates (found at the bottom of this post) and my step by step craft process shown below!

How to Make Peter Rabbit Puppets for Kids

Yield: 1

Find out How to Make Peter Rabbit Puppets for Kids including Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Lily Bobtail, Mr Tod and the farmer

Materials

Craft papers.
Pencil.
Scissors.
Ruler.
Glue.
Marker Pens.

Instructions

Step 1:

Print out the PDF templates.

Use the PDF template to cut out the pieces for Peter Rabbit using craft papers.

Step 2:

Join the pieces of the ears together using craft glue.

Glue the jacket to the rabbit’s body.

Then glue the pockets on the green belt.

Step 3:

Join Peter Rabbit’s head to his neck using glue.

Step 4:

Glue the green belt across the jacket.

Step 5:

Use marker pens to draw the rabbit’s face.

You can make the other rabbits and Mr Tod by cutting out the craft templates on the color of your paper of your choosing. Why not look at my picture below for recommended pictures.

How to Make Farmer McGregor Puppet

Step 1:

Use the PDF templates again to cut out the pieces for the farmer.

Step 2:

Join the shirt and trousers to the farmer’s body.

Step 3:

Glue the vest/ waistcoat over the shirt.

And then, glue the shoes on the bottom of the pants.

Step 4:

Now, glue the beard, moustache and hair with the head.

Step 5:

Then, glue the beret/hat on top of the head.

Step 6:

Join the head to the body.

All you need to do with these little paper puppets is stick a popsicle stick on the end and you are good to go with your own puppet show!
