Our Paper Mache Crafts for Christmas are a fun way to decorate this holiday season. This craft has so many uses, we almost wanted to make ten of them!
Fill this Santa’s sack treat bag full of goodies and it can be given as a gift to a teacher or friend. It can also be used as a centerpiece for Christmas supper. Or, why not have one on your coffee table.
Put out a few, filled with your favourite treats. It keeps the treats within arms reach!
Just one of my good Santa kids crafts this year and one of my easy paper mache ideas for Christmas

Step #1:
Let’s start with the paper mache.
- Mix a bowl of 1/2 water 1/2 glue.
- Cut up a bunch of newspaper into squares.
- Blow up your balloon (make it the size you would like your Santa’s bag).
- Dip a piece of newspaper into the glue mixture, then place it on the balloon.
- Repeat this process until the balloon is completely covered.
- Let it dry overnight.
- Once dry, pop the balloon and discard it.
Step #2:
Pain the entire paper mache ball with red paint. You may need to apply a few coats to cover up the newspaper.
Another trick is to use white paper for your paper mache instead of newspaper.
Step #3:
Cut out a circle at the opening of your ball (this is where you pulled the balloon out).
Step #4:
Pull apart a few cotton balls. Stretch them out until they look like strings of cotton.
Dab glue all around the edge of the opening. Glue cotton all around the opening.
Fill these Christmas crafts ideas for kids with your favourite treat and display them all over the house!
