Red Fox Craft with Toilet Paper Roll

Fall animal crafts are awesome and my red fox craft with toilet paper roll is always hugely popular with little kids during October and November.

I love doing animal themed learning with my children. During the Spring we talk about bees and the importance of them in our ecosystem. During Autumn we move onto talk about hedgehogs, squirrels and red foxes. 

To emphasize my learning I like to do some animal themed crafts. We stock on toilet paper rolls so it was only inevitable we decided to do a red fox craft using them. 

Unlike the real living animal my cute toilet paper roll version is less scary and will not get aggressive if you touch it. My kids and I normally watch red foxes running across the farm fields from afar. At least with a craft they can actually get up close and personal.

Kids love playing with animal crafts and this version can be used as a puppet. Why not combine it with some of my farm animal toilet paper roll crafts for some pretend play! My colorful toilet paper roll owl craft is another great idea for a activity for Kindergarten kids.

Red Fox Craft with Toilet Paper Roll

Materials

• Toilet paper roll.
• Craft papers.
• Pencil.
• Ruler.
• Glue.
• Marker pens.

Instructions

Step 1:

Cut out the parts for the fox from the template.

Step 2:

Glue the pieces of the tail together, and then glue the paws to the legs. 

Step 3:

Cut out a red craft paper according to the length and width of your toilet paper roll.

Step 4:

Apply glue on the rectangular craft paper.

Step 5:

Then wrap it around the toilet paper roll.

Step 6:

Press the top parts of the paper roll inwards to make the two edges pointy.

Step 7:

Then, glue the piece for the fox’s chest.

Step 8:

Draw the eyes or print them out from the template. 

Step 9:

Glue the eyes on top of the toilet paper roll. Your red fox craft should look like this now.

Step 10:

Glue the nose in between the eyes.

Step 11:

Now glue the fox’s legs.

Step 12:

Finish it by gluing the tail on the side or back.
